Kitchen Mate Inc (“KitchenMate”) recognizes the importance of your Personal Information.

This Privacy Policy sets out how KitchenMate uses and protects information that its customers, visitors and users (collectively, the “Users”) on kitchenmate.com (the “Site”), any hardware products (the “Products”), and the services, features, content, applications, and other products we offer (collectively with the Site and the Products, the "Services"). By using our Services, you consent to this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control, including but not limited to any third party websites, services and applications ("Third Party Services") that you elect to access through the Service or to individuals that we do not manage or employ. While we attempt to facilitate access only to those Third Party Services that share our respect for your privacy, we cannot take responsibility for the content or privacy policies of those Third Party Services.

What information do we collect?

Information you provide: When you request more information, register and personalize your account, complete a transaction, rate or review a product, participate in a questionnaire, subscribe to our newsletter, communicate with us via phone, email, chat or otherwise we collect some “Personal Information” (that is, any information that can be directly associated with you), such as your name, title, email address, phone number, address, billing information, birthday, sex, employer, dietary preferences, location and other similar information as appropriate. You may also provide us with certain Personal Information of other people (e.g., if you are referring our Services to a friend). You can choose to not provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of all of the Services.

Device Identifiers: When you access the Site by or through a device, we may access, collect, monitor and/or remotely store one or more “device identifiers”. Device identifiers allow us to uniquely identify your device and are used to enhance the Service (including sending updates and information from the Service). A device identifier does not collect or share any other personally identifiable information about you. A device identifier may also be used in conjunction with other Personal Information.

Web Analytics: When you access our Site, we may collect information (either directly or using third party services) using logging and cookies which can sometimes be correlated with Personal Information. We use this information to monitor and analyze use and interest in the Site.

Log data and other information gathered automatically: As with most website and internet enabled technology services, our Services automatically collect information when you access or use our Smart Cooker, Fridges (including but not limited to Smart Fridge, Vision Cooler, etc), Site or other Services and record it in log files. This log data may include the Internet Protocol (IP) address, the address of the web page visited before using the Site, the orders that you make, the products you view, browser type and settings, images or videos when using the Smart Fridge or Smart Cookers, the date and time the Smart Cooker, Site or Services was accessed, information about browser configuration and plugins, language preferences and cookie data. This type of data enables us and third parties authorized by us to analyze and verify the performance of the Services, process transactions and improve the Services.

User Content: Some features of the Services allow you to provide content to the Services, such as written feedback. All content submitted by you to the Services may be retained by us indefinitely, even after you terminate your account. We may continue to disclose such content in promotional materials, or to third parties in a manner that does not reveal Personal Information, as described in this Privacy Policy.

Email, Text Message and Notifications: We may communicate with you via email, SMS, MMS or other text message ("Text Message") or push notifications on mobile or web (to the extent you permit us to do so), and we may collect information regarding such communications, such as confirmation when you open an email, read a Text Message or receive a push notification. We use this information to improve our Services, including without limitation our customer service.

Cookies: We use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your order, understand and save your preferences for future visits, serve you and keep track of advertisements, compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may contract with Third Party Services (including, but not limited to NextRoll and ZoomInfo) to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. These Third Party Services are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.

Most browsers and mobile devices have an option for turning off the cookie feature, which will prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, as well as (depending on the sophistication of your browser software) allowing you to decide on acceptance of each new cookie in a variety of ways. We strongly recommend that you leave cookies active, because they enable you to take advantage of the most attractive features of the Services.

What do we use your information for?

KitchenMate’s Services are designed to safely share your information with others to improve its Services. Any of the information we collect from you may be used in the ways described below:

To personalize your experience: your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs.

To improve our website and Services: we continually strive to improve our website and Service offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you.

To improve customer service and respond to your requests, comments and questions: your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs.

To process transactions: Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested. Payments are processed through a secure third-party processing service (such as Stripe) who collects and stores your information securely. KitchenMate does not retain any payment information.

To send communications (Emails, Text Message, Notifications): The contact information you provide for order processing, may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, in addition to receiving occasional company news, updates, related product or service information, important notices, marketing materials etc.

To share with our Third Party Service providers: We employ and contract with Third Party Services to perform certain tasks on our behalf. We may need to share Personal Information with our Third Party Service providers in order to provide products or services to you. These third parties may have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of industry standard measures, including secure servers and protocols, to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.

Your Account Information will be protected by password and/or one-time password. It is your responsibility to secure the information to prevent unauthorized access to your Account and Personal Information. We recommend using a unique password for your KitchenMate account that is not used for other online accounts.

All supplied sensitive information or financial information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

We cannot guarantee the security of any Account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time.


Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.


How do I access, edit or delete my account?

If you would like to view or edit your personally identifiable information, you may do so by logging into your Account Settings page at https://my.kitchenmate.com/settings. If you would like to delete your Account and leave the Services provided by KitchenMate, please contact support@kitchenmate.com.

How do I opt-out?

If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future communications via Email, Text Messages or Notification, please follow the instructions provided in the medium of communication, update your information in your Account Settings page at https://my.kitchenmate.com/setting or modify the settings in our browser or app.

You will also be able to opt out of certain other types of data by updating settings on your personal device (computer, mobile device etc). If you have any questions about how to change your device permissions, please contact your device manufacturer, mobile service carrier or software provider. 

Our Third Party Service providers may use non-cookie technologies that may not be impacted by browser settings that block cookies. Your browser may not permit you to block such technologies. For this reason you can use the following third party tools to decline the collection and use of information for the purpose of serving you interest based advertising: NAI’s opt-out platform, EDAA’s opt-out platform, and DAA’s opt-out platform.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

Our business evolves constantly and our Privacy Policy will change also. As such, KitchenMate may amend or update from time to time this Privacy Policy in its sole discretion and without prior notice. Any such amendments or updates will be effective upon our posting of the revised Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the Services following our posting of any revised Privacy Policy will constitute your acknowledgement and acceptance of the amended Privacy Policy.
